Alameda Teens Anti Bullying

Hi there,my name is Sergio Silva and I have been teaching Teens Anti-Bullying practice for over 20 years. I have done speech in several public schools. I was born in raised in South of America,Brazil.

One of the most important thing we emphasis in our program is the use of our verbal self-defense 101 and the building of individual confidence.

Here are some of the reasons that you should enroll your teenager at our Martial Arts Academy.

-Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the World's most effective Martial Arts.
-Over 3.2 million students are victims of bullying each year.
-Bullies are everywhere,at school,at the park, local swimming pool and everywhere kids tent to play and have fun it will always be one kid that has some sort of natural advantage and he/she will take that advantage to be in superior stage no respecting anyone's boundaries or rules.Bullies always believe that they are invincible or they can get rid of any major arguments.
-Approximately 160,000 teens skip school every day because of bullying.
-Build an unstoppable confidence in your child to always keep their head up with posture, speaking for themselves and give tools to them to not only defend themselves if they need to.
-17% of American students report being bullied 2 to 3 times a month or more within a school semester. Take a stand in your community by hosting a Bullying Policy Makeover event customizing your school’s anti-bullying policy.
-Keep your teenager in shape while learning the principles of our Life Skills 101 program:Focus,Discipline,Family,Confidence,Teamwork,Manners,Balance and much more.
--1 in 4 teachers see nothing wrong with bullying and will only intervene 4% of the time.
-It's always amazes when our current Jiu-Jitsu teens come to us to let us know that someone have been pushing their buttons for over weeks and nobody does anything. We always tell our kids:"Make sure always let the bully know that you don't like what he/she did and kindly asked them to not ever do that again..."Then go tell the teacher.
-Over 67% of students believe that schools respond poorly to bullying, with a high percentage of students believing that adult help is infrequent and ineffective. We go back to the old story of the parent telling their child to go take the issue to the teacher. A lot of teachers let it pass just stating that they are kids and kids will do what kids do.
--71% of students report incidents of bullying as a problem at their school. That's a very high %!
--90% of 4th through 8th graders report being victims of bullying.
--1 in 10 students drop out of school because of repeated bullying.
-As boys age they are less and less likely to feel sympathy for victims of bullying. In fact they are more likely to add to the problem than solve it.
-Physical bullying increases in elementary school, peaks in middle school and declines in high school. Verbal abuse, on the other hand, remains constant.
-Give your teen a powerful tool that they will take for their life time.Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is an amazing Martial Arts besides been one of the strongest sport growing in the World. It's always compare with Chess for the critical thinking about moves and the power of the decision making rule where you have a consequence with each move that you are applying. Engineers, software business tech people are usually very interested with the beauty of this amazing Martial Arts of BJJ.
